Building Control Surveyor (Class 2 - Interim Contract)

Location : Greater Manchester (Hybrid / Local Authority)

Rate : £65 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract : Initial 6-Month Assignment

Hours : 37 hours per week

About the Role

An excellent interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Control Surveyor (Class 2) to join a progressive local authority in the Greater Manchester region.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring building safety, compliance and quality across a diverse portfolio of projects - from complex commercial developments to residential schemes. Working within a supportive Building Control team, you’ll be responsible for plan checking, site inspections and enforcement work, ensuring statutory duties are met under the Building Act and Building Regulations.

This is a hands‑on, professional role suited to a surveyor who enjoys autonomy, technical challenge and a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine Building Regulation applications, including complex and high-value schemes.
  • Undertake site inspections at key stages to ensure compliance with approved plans and relevant legislation.
