You will attend accident scenes, conduct thorough investigations, and provide factual reports in line with our procedures. This role is based in the North, West and South Yorkshire and the Humber regions with potential to go north towards County Durham and surrounding areas. There may be occasional travel further afield across the UK, kept to a minimum. Working Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week over 5 days. As part of AXA, you will work in a dynamic team focused on protecting what matters to our customers, with a culture that supports learning, development and ownership of your work.

What you'll be doing
  • Investigate Employer's Liability, Public Liability and Motor Personal Injury Claims on behalf of AXA Commercial and AXA Retail Insurances and other AXA companies.
  • Represent AXA in face-to-face dealings with policyholders, brokers and other witnesses, providing technically accurate and helpful advice to represent the company.
  • Interview instructed parties face-to-face or by telephone (policyholder, driver, witness, police, or other relevant party) and obtain detailed signed CPR compliant statements in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Attend accident scenes (locus) and provide factual reports with findings in accordance with procedures.
  • Undertake ad-hoc field intelligence inquiries and provide factual reports with findings in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Compile and submit a comprehensive final report on conclusion of investigations.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and exceptional time management skills; be open to involvement in internal projects and change programmes.
Qualifications and required experience
  • Experience handling or knowledge of EL/PL/PI/Casualty claims is essential. Motor Injury and anti-fraud investigations are advantageous.
  • Hold, or have made progress towards, an industry-recognised qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators or equivalent, or CII professional qualification).
  • Sound knowledge of legal processes and recent experience of investigation and negotiation.
  • Sound understanding of the claims process, reserving and assessment methods.
  • Awareness of the broker/affinity environment and the importance of these relationships.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to claims investigation and negotiation, committed to customer service.
  • Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
