Job description

G MASS Consulting are seeking a dedicated professional to join one of our London Market Managing Agent clients as a consultant, on an initial 6-month contract.

To independently manage a portfolio of claims from initial advice to final settlement and provide high-quality claims handling support across Central Operations. The role requires proactive engagement with the market, brokers, underwriters and internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant and commercially sound outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end claims handling for assigned files, including advice, negotiation, documentation, agreement and settlement.
  • Lead market communication and engagement on claims matters, ensuring clear, timely and professional responses to brokers, underwriters, TPAs and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, submit and agree claims documentation and financial entries via ECF/CLASS and other market platforms.
  • Oversee and support aggregates reporting (e.g., BDX), bordereaux and financial reconciliation activities.
  • Facilitate payment instructions, ensuring accuracy of amounts, approvals and posting.
  • Respond to and resolve complex queries, providing guidance and clarification where required.
  • Produce management information (MI), trends, reporting and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Central Operations teams to support process improvements and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in claims handling within the Lloyd’s London market or equivalent commercial insurance environment; familiarity with ECF/CLASS expected.
  • Solid understanding of market systems, bordereaux reporting and claims lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead tasks independently.
  • Professional, solutions-focused, proactive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the team externally.

Salary: to be discussed

Length: 6-month initial contract
