Overview

A well-established design consultancy is seeking a Civils Technician to strengthen its busy highways and drainage design team. With a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, and residential developments across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced group of engineers delivering high-quality, practical solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Support senior design staff with the preparation of detailed technical drawings and specifications for S38 and S278 highways and drainage schemes, using AutoCAD.
• Assist with structural detailing work where required.
• Contribute to S104 and S185 drainage applications, while working as part of a collaborative team that emphasizes innovative but buildable design.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Two to three years of consultancy experience in highways and drainage design within the UK.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience with Civils 3D and drainage software packages such as MicroDrainage or Flow is advantageous.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, contribute actively to design solutions, and be motivated to develop technical skills.
