As a Civil Engineering Apprentice (Water), you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, helping to ensure they are delivered safely, sustainably and to the highest technical standards. You’ll develop the skills and knowledge needed for a long-term career in civil engineering within the water sector.
This role will be based in the South West region, working within our Infrastructure – Water teams. You’ll gain experience across live sites and office-based engineering environments, supporting projects delivered under long-term water frameworks.
As a Civil Engineering Apprentice, you’ll combine hands-on project experience with formal academic study, developing the skills required to become a qualified civil engineer in the water industry.
You will study towards the Civil Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship, gaining a BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) degree.

You’ll receive structured training, mentoring and professional development, giving you a strong foundation to progress into roles such as Assistant Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer or Project Engineer within Tilbury Douglas Infrastructure. You’ll also be supported in working towards professional accreditation.
