This is a brilliant opportunity to join my client, an exciting, fresh Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as an industry‑leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a talented, driven Civil Engineer with sound knowledge of drainage and non‑infrastructure design. You will work alongside a fresh team of design engineers, based in the exciting, culturally‑rich Capital City of London.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering upon an array of projects and developments across the residential, commercial, and industrial landscapes
  • Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
  • Preparing technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, as well as industry standards and regulations
  • Acting as a representative of the company at site visits, client meetings, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
  • A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant discipline)
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a design‑based role, within a UK consultancy
  • Experience of working with water‑based, non‑infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, water treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of drainage systems and strategies
  • Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience of preparing technical documents
  • Prior experience of liaising closely with clients and stakeholders across the industry
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
  • A commitment to attaining Chartered Status
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
  • Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
  • Experience of working in a public‑facing role
