You will play an important role within our team. You will support the production of drainage, highway and infrastructure designs, along with providing provision for all types and scales of development projects, assisting in securing S2778/38 and S104 technical approvals. You will work with Engineer and technician colleagues in the effective deliver of outputs to agreed deadlines.

As a key member of our Taunton Infrastructure team, your role will involve the following:
  • Preparing drainage strategies, calculations and SuDs reports for planning.
  • Preparing plans and drawings at all stages of the development cycle (concept through to construction).
  • Design of Earthworks, Pavement and Drainage and the preparation of the associated specifications
  • Ensuring high quality delivery in design through QA checks
  • Liaise with Local Authorities and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals
  • Liaise with clients, third party bodies and multi-disciplinary teams and disciplines on all relevant aspects of projects
  • Assist during the construction stage, including site queries and inspections
  • Opportunity to grow the team and mentor junior engineers
About You:
  • Civil Engineering degree, or similar.
  • Previous experience in an Infrastructure Design role.
  • Experience producing design of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) with good knowledge of relevant current standards and guidelines and contemporary environmental solutions to manage land drainage.
  • Experience of working with other disciplines and interested parties with regards to the design and detailing of Infrastructure works.
