Overview

Civil Engineer
Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who are seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, from early feasibility studies right through to detailed design and construction delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver design and technical input across infrastructure and civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, utilities, and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS).
  • Prepare and develop infrastructure strategies to support planning applications and development proposals.
  • Undertake feasibility assessments, option appraisals, and detailed design for a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and energy-related developments.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies, local authorities, and utility providers to support design approvals and compliance.
  • Produce drawings, specifications, and technical reports to support project delivery.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including transport, planning, and environmental specialists.
  • Provide engineering solutions that are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with sustainability objectives.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in infrastructure design, including highways, drainage, utilities, and SUDS.
  • Working knowledge of UK standards, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroDrainage (or similar).
  • Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders, clients, and statutory consultees.
