Join Our Civil Engineering Team in Bridgend/Cardiff

We are a reputable consulting engineering firm with over 30 years of experience, specializing in civil and structural engineering for building and construction projects across the UK. Our flexible/hybrid working arrangements allow for office-based work in Bridgend or Cardiff, with potential for London or Manchester as your primary location if preferred. We are seeking a professional civil engineer with consulting experience to join our team.

Your Role

As a Civil Engineer and senior team member, you will lead various civil engineering projects, focusing on residential and industrial drainage design. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing civil engineering designs, calculations, and drawings according to standards and codes.
  • Undertaking drainage, earthworks, and utilities design using software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD.
  • Preparing technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Liaising with clients, architects, other consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Supporting project management to ensure delivery within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Mentoring graduate engineers and technicians.
  • Attending site visits, inspections, and design meetings as needed.
Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership with ICE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a design consultancy or engineering practice.
  • Good knowledge of UK design standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
