Job summary

A local council in Bedford is looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to enforce parking regulations and maintain good community relations. The ideal candidate will have experience in law enforcement or similar fields, be fluent in English, and be comfortable handling various public interactions. This role requires working five days a week, including weekends and some holidays, in a full-time position. Uniform and equipment will be provided for the job.

Job Advert

As a Civil Enforcement Officer you will ensure effective enforcement of parking regulations within on street areas of the Borough including car parks.

Within this role you will be the public face of the Council.

Promoting good relations with the community and representing the organisation professionally at all times.

School enforcement is a key part of the service and patrols are carried out morning and afternoon on a daily basis around the Borough.

Shift Patterns & Additional Information
  • Rotas consist of two shift times. 06 : 45 until 15 : 09 and 10 : 45 until 19 : 09.
  • One week will be the early shift and the following week will be the later shift.
  • You will work 5 days out of 7 including most weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • One hour lunch break every day.
  • A full uniform is supplied including footwear and PPE.
