A children's support organization is seeking reliable and caring Childrens Support Workers in Guildford, UK. This part-time role involves working night shifts to support children aged 3-18 with physical and learning disabilities. Key responsibilities include creating a nurturing environment and providing personal and emotional support to young people. Ideal candidates will have a compassionate approach and good communication skills. Flexible working hours provide opportunities for engagement and support during overnight shifts.
We’re looking for caring, reliable and passionate Childrens Support Workers to join our dedicated team on a part-time night shift contract (3 nights per week, 30 hours).
Shifts run 9pm 7am, supporting children and young people aged 3‑18 with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex needs.
This is a respite service, meaning young people may stay with us for as little as 2 hours or up to 14 nights, giving their parents valuable time to rest and recharge. The home features an on‑site sensory room, and the team regularly runs activities and events to keep young people engaged, stimulated and supported throughout their stay.
Every shift is different; you might be supporting bedtime routines, providing emotional reassurance or helping create a calm, positive and nurturing environment overnight.
