Job description

No two days are the same! As a Children's Support Worker, you'll:

Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported
  • Build positive, trusting relationships
  • Encourage healthy routines and life‑skills
  • Support education, prepare meals, and accompany children to appointments
  • Champion their voice – making sure they're heard and valued
  • Drive young people to activities or appointments using your own vehicle
  • Help them move forward with confidence and hope
Qualifications, Experience & Eligibility

Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)? Full UK driving licence and access to a car? Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience? Flexibility for varied shifts (including weekends, sleep‑ins, and waking nights)? A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one), A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent) is desirable but not essential – full training provided.

What You Can Expect

Competitive pay: £17.50 – £28.00 per hour (depending on shift type).

Comprehensive training: 21 online modules + in‑person courses in safeguarding, trauma‑informed practice, and positive behaviour support, PACE training too!
