Overview

We are looking for a Children\'s Social Worker to join a Children in Need Team within Stoke on Trent.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post permanent qualified experience.

About the team

This team works collaboratively with the children and their families to understand the type of support required to live safely and happily. The team ensures plans are made for the children and the families and reviews have taken place every 12 weeks. Social workers are required to visit the homes every 6 weeks; this is essential in order to make the best decisions for the children\'s needs. The team will also attend IPCP meetings.

About you

A degree within Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years\' permanent experience is required for this post. The ability to complete court work and protect the children is essential in this role. Extensive assessment work, long term work and CP experience are part of the role. A valid and clean driving license and car is essential.
