Pay: From £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Shifts: Days, nights, and sleep‑ins available

Contract Type: Temporary, Temp‑to‑Perm, and Permanent Opportunities

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people?

Leader Health and Social Care are currently recruiting Children's Residential Support Workers to join our growing team across West Yorkshire.

You will be working in small, nurturing residential homes supporting children and young people aged 8-17 years who may present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, challenging behaviours, or complex backgrounds.

Your Role
  • Provide day‑to‑day care, emotional support, and guidance to children in placement
  • Encourage positive routines, education, and healthy relationships
  • Support young people in line with their individual care plans
  • Maintain professional boundaries and promote a safe, stable environment
  • Complete daily logs and reports in accordance with Ofsted and company standards
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of recent experience supporting children or young people in a residential or similar setting (essential)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle – preferred
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including long days, nights, and sleep‑ins
  • Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous
