Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person.
• Recruit, support, and retain a high‑quality team; complete induction and personal development plans.
• Implement consulting systems to involve young people in their care.
• Assign Key Workers to each resident.
• Maintain high care standards in line with quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
• Handle complaints, child protection concerns, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Participate in care planning and review meetings.
• Promote a safe and supportive culture for children.
• Manage the home’s commercial aspects to meet budget expectations.

Essential Requirements And Experience

• Passionate about making a difference to young people in care.
• Minimum 2 years residential care experience, 1 year supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care essential; Level 5 Leadership and Management preferred, or enrolment within 6 months of starting.
• Knowledge of Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Planning, resource allocation, and budgeting skills.
• Effective communication – spoken and written.
• Understanding of trauma and behavioural challenges.
• Full UK driving licence.
