Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward thinking physiotherapists to join the Children's Community Physiotherapy Service as a team lead.

The role will be based in the South of Oxfordshire at either Wallingford, Didcot or Abingdon.

Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for managing a locality physiotherapy team consisting of band 5 and 6 qualified staff and band 3 and 4 assistants, leading a clinical area and supporting the professional lead with service development.
  • You will provide advanced assessment and treatment of patients in homes, schools and clinic settings, delivering a comprehensive community physiotherapy service for patients with complex health needs based around evidence‑based practice and recognised national standards.
  • You will provide specialist and highly skilled physiotherapy assessments and intervention for children and young people with a range of needs including complex disability, including therapy in education settings, patients’ own homes, clinics and the wider community.
  • This post will include opportunities for service development, research, education and teaching. We are committed to CPD and will work with you to further develop your skills and experience.
