Job description

A local authority based in South London is seeking a Childcare Lawyer on an interim basis. The role is to start ASAP and will be for an initial 3-month contract.

About the Role

The successful candidate will join a highly successful, supportive, and collegiate team. Local government experience is required for this role.

Working Arrangements

This Childcare Lawyer position offers hybrid working. Currently, attendance is required at the office 1 day per month.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing a complex caseload of PLO and proceedings cases.
• Experience dealing with contact issues, emergency protection, non-accidental injury, adoption, supervision, and special guardianship matters.
• Experience providing advice under the Children Act.
• Current practising certificate.
