Job summary

A local childcare provider in Castlederg is looking for a candidate for a childcare role. Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: CASTLEDERG CHILDCARE SERVICESThis is a childcare role. The successful candidate will care for children by organising an environment of play and creativity. Essential training will be provided for safeguarding, first aid and food safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the layout of the facilities before each session and tidying away at the end of the session.
  • Assist with ensuring the overall safety and well-being of the children.
  • Providing a safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities, preparing activities, organising programmes and so on.
  • Ensuring the delivery of creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.
  • Providing full care for the children. This may also include providing refreshments.
  • Encouraging parental involvement and support of the setting.
  • Assist in fundraising activities.
  • Assist the leader in ensuring that good standards of hygiene are followed, and that equipment is safe and checked regularly for repair.
  • Assist in ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and that all written records are appropriately maintained in accordance with WHSCT guidelines.
  • Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Assist the leader in providing advice and assistance to parents and individuals.
  • Advise the leader on any matter requiring his/her attention.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced Access NI & 2 Reference checks.
