Recircle is currently seeking to hire a graduate scientist to join the R&D team division. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates in Chemistry or Biochemistry who are eager to grow their scientific curiosity and contribute to meaningful research in biotechnology and rubber chemistry.

The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting laboratory research, conducting experiments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day lab operations. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who shares our values and is eager to learn, grow and adapt within a fast-paced and dynamic research environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the R&D team in conducting research and testing within a chemistry and biotechnology laboratory environment
  • Perform experiments and data analysis
  • Keep laboratory documentation and databases up to date, compiling results for interpretation and presentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well organised laboratory environment
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Order and manage laboratory chemicals and consumables

Key experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Material Science
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, with a solid understanding of standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Desirable experience:

  • Experience working in a research laboratory
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as LC-MS and GC-MS
