Charge Nurse, Band 6

Fixed term/Secondment 22.5 hours per week for 9 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse to join the Specialist Palliative Care Service based at Macmillan Day Services, Angus. This post will be working with the whole team to plan and help innovate within Macmillan Day Services developing a service that is fit for the future delivery of palliative care to the population of Angus.

You will work as a key member of the MDT team within Specialist Palliative Care Services collaborating with members of the Health and Social Care Partnership. This post will be responsible for the operational management, planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of effective, high quality nursing care in the day care setting. They will closely work with the Macmillan Community Clinical Nurse Specialist Team Leader.

In order to fully integrate into the nursing team, you will be required to participate in clinical supervision, reflective practice and to promote patient centred care. Excellent communication and leadership skills and evidence of relevant personal development are essential. The post would offer opportunities for continued professional development

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
