Purpose

The Through the Gate Support Worker position is home-based, with participant-facing duties in prisons, hubs and probation offices across the region as required. The role provides peripatetic cover across a region, supporting participants through the gate. The Through the Gate Support Worker will support the PRI and Through the Gate elements, working closely with custody Support Workers to facilitate and complete the three-way handover meetings (face-to-face, video conferencing or telephone). They will act as a single point of contact when participants are released to liaise and/or facilitate the TTG initial meeting and ensure engagement with support workers accordingly.
