Job description

A CDP is responsible for running a specific "section" or "station" of the kitchen. While a Head Chef oversees the entire kitchen, the CDP ensures that their specific area—whether it's the grill, sauces, or pastry—operates flawlessly.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company.
• Be responsible for your section and communicate any food orders to the Head Chef.
• Provide information on specials as requested.
• Ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with customers.
• Control portion size and monitor waste as required.
• Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy.
• Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Ensure Food Policy documentation is completed on a daily and weekly basis in accordance with company policy as requested.
• Be responsible for the kitchen when requested.
