Job summary

A leading global construction consultancy is seeking a CDM Consultant / Advisor to provide professional health & safety advice across various construction projects. Strong candidates will have proven experience and knowledge of CDM regulations, with opportunities for progression including fully funded NEBOSH and IOSH certifications. This role involves preparing pre-construction information, conducting audits, and liaising with clients and contractors to ensure compliance with safety legislation.

Role Title: CDM Consultant / CDM Advisor

Location: Manchester

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance

About the Role

We are supporting a leading global construction consultancy who are seeking a CDM Consultant / CDM Advisor to provide professional health & safety advice on construction projects across a range of sectors.

This is a great role if you are seeking progression and development, with NEBOSH and IOSH fully funded if you are at the more junior end and seeking a career within CDM.

CDM Consultant Key Responsibilities
  • Act as CDM Consultant / CDM Advisor under CDM 2015 regulations
  • Act as Principal Designer or Principal Designer Advisor on small to large scale projects.
  • Prepare and maintain pre‑construction information and health and safety files.
  • Conduct health & safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections
  • Assist in the completion of PQQ/tendering documents
  • Provide advice on project design and construction phases
  • Prepare reports and H&S documentation for clients
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams
  • Monitor compliance with H&S legislation and company policies
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a CDM Consultant / CDM Advisor
  • Sound knowledge of CDM 2015 and construction H&S regulations
  • Ability to write clear reports and communicate effectively
  • Experience across multiple sectors preferred (education, commercial, care, etc.)
