Catering Manager

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk

Salary: £14,257 per annum (Pro Rata) (FTE £25,185 per annum)

Vacancy Type: Term Time Only, Monday to Friday 09.00 - 14.00

The Prep School opened in 2020, and in 2021 they opened their brand new catering facilities. A vacancy exists for a Cook who will assist and support the work of the Prep School and the College's Catering Department.

The Role
  • The Cook will be responsible to the Kitchen Manager and for providing kitchen support to the Prep School Catering Department.
  • The post-holder will be required to comply with the College Prep School's Code of Conduct for Staff and Volunteers.
  • The College Prep School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • The post-holder will have access to and be responsible for confidential information and documentation.
  • The post-holder shall participate in the Prep School's programme of Performance Management and Continuing Professional Development.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy
  • Have previous experience in a busy kitchen, with an in-depth knowledge of food preparation, production and service
  • Have good oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all staff and students
  • A good knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations in relation to food preparation, service and storage
