Driver Hire are the UK's largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company. We provide driving and logistics staff to both local and national clients across a variety of sectors, offering flexible and reliable staffing solutions.



Driver Hire Basingstoke and Newbury are looking to recruit a number of Category B Drivers to help support our client in the Basingstoke area to deliver medical equipment and supplies to GP, Surgeries, Healthcare Units, Dentists and Hospitals in the Basingstoke and surrounding towns/villages.



The successful candidates will be working a 5 day in 6 rota following successful completion of their induction and training. There will be 2 runs per day with approximately 8 - 15 drops per run.



This is a temp to perm position, with the first 12 weeks being worked through Driver Hire.Selected candidates will be asked to take a 2 part driving assessment as part of the application process.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out designated duties in a professional and timely manner.


• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks


• Be reliable, polite, and friendly. Good customer service is vital as you will be the face of Driver Hire and our client.


• Have the ability to plan routes, and be able to use a Sat Nav system.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full UK Driving Licence, with at least 1 years experience.


• Previous commercial driving work would be advantageous, but not essential.


• Verifiable References

HOURS, PAY & BENEFITS

• £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay, basic rate £12.21ph) - enhanced rates apply for overtime and weekend working.


• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day (full day). Start time approx 06:30 - 07:00 (dependent on route)


• Weekly Paid during the temporary period.
