Driver Hire are the U.K.’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company. We provide driving and logistics staff to both local and national clients across a variety of sectors, offering flexible and reliable staffing solutions.

Driver Hire Basingstoke and Newbury are looking to recruit a number of Cat B Drivers to help support the work that we are doing to support our local clients with their temporary staffing needs. The clients we support are based from Hook in the south of the region, through Basingstoke and Tadley, and up to Newbury and Thatcham in the north.

The work varies from client to client, and you could be driving for a range of different clients.

The days can be flexible to you, working as many or as few days as you wish. Generally the work is between Monday and Friday, but there may be occasional weekend working as well.

We work with a range of different clients from to include but not limited to builders merchants, home delivery as well as accident repair centres

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out designated duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks
• Be reliable, polite, and friendly.
• Good customer service is vital as you will be the face of Driver Hire.
• Have the ability to plan routes, and be able to use a Sat Nav system.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full U.K. Driving Licence, with at least 1 years experience
• Must be over the age of 21, with at least 1 years driving experience
• Previous commercial driving work would be advantageous, but not essential.
• A current DBS check is desirable.

HOURS, PAY & BENEFITS

• £12.21 – £20.52 per hour (including holiday pay, basic rate £12.21 – £17.83ph) – Mondays to Fridays, with enhanced rates for weekend work.
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day (full day), or 4 hours (half day).
• Flexible working days to suit you.
• Paid weekly in arrears.
