Casual Nursery Nurses (zero hours)

Location: Hallfield School, Edgbaston

Hourly rate: In line with National Living Wage (plus holiday pay). Shifts fall between the hours of 7:30am and 6:10pm.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and empathetic Level 3 Qualified Early Years Educators with strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge to provide exceptional early years care and education on an ad hoc, casual basis.

Suitable candidates will:
  • Work with children aged 3 months to 3 years under the direction of the Room Leaders and Deputy Nursery Manager, in a nurturing environment.
  • Support the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning.
  • Ensure care routines and observations are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a nursery setting (working with children aged between 0–4 years)
  • Hold an Early Years Educator qualification (e.g. NVQ/Diploma/BTEC/Degree) Level 3 or above
  • Have a positive, flexible approach and excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to child-centred learning and development
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • Be flexible and reliable, with excellent time keeping
