Job description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Casual Catering Assistantto join our team at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre Caféon a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.Located in the heart of The Great Yorkshire Forest, our café provides high-quality, locally sourced catering packages for corporate events, team away days and public activity days.

The successful Casual Catering Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with basic food preparation, customer service and generally supporting the operations while adhering to all Health and Food Safety requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Basic food preparation, counter set up and serving of food and beverages
• Handling cash and card transactions accurately
• Operating coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the café and associated working areas
• Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
• Ensuring the highest level of customer care is delivered to customers
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Following food hygiene, and Health & Safety guidelines in line with training which is provided
