A higher education institution in the UK is seeking an individual to assist with the management of student visa processes. This role involves issuing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and guiding students through the visa enrolment process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UKVI compliance requirements and administrative skills to manage student records effectively. This position is crucial for ensuring that international students meet all regulatory guidelines and remain in good standing during their studies.
Act as UKVI SMS Level 1 User to issue CAS, report late enrolments, non-enrolments, deferrals.
Guide students through the visa enrolment process.
Maintain up to date knowledge of UKVI compliance requirements and an overview of the Student Route guidance and policy. Keep up to date knowledge of issues and developments, attending training and information days as required.
Responsibility for CAS issuing for Student Route extensions, including assessing previous study for time caps and academic progress; assessing previous academic performance; liaison with Colleges to obtain academic approval where needed; obtaining College approval for PGT/PGR resubmission, including an undertaking that they will be monitored in line with attendance policy; gathering all relevant evidence necessary for the 'student file' and making evidence based decisions on further Sponsorship of students in line with UKVI guidance and sponsor duties.
Assisting with the administrative procedures related to the upload of e-visas.
Work with International Admissions and Recruitment teams to manage student records from CAS Ready stage.
Responsible for the enrolment process for international students, through conducting Right to Study checks for international students.
Respond to emails, telephone calls and assist with face to face enquiries requiring specialist knowledge relating to UKVI compliance duties, with a particular specialism in CAS and change of circumstances related queries.
To undertake any other requirements commensurate with the seniority of the post/as required by the head of department.
