Job description
Carpenter & Maintenance Assistant - Luxury Beach Club in Greece - Summer 2026

Seasonal Contract | May - October 2026 | Zakynthos, Greece

About The Peligoni Club

The Peligoni Club is a family‑run members club on the stunning island of Zakynthos, Greece. To deliver the exceptional holiday experience our guests expect, the club needs to look great and function flawlessly every single day.

Our Maintenance Team is the behind‑the‑scenes powerhouse that keeps everything running smoothly - from our sun decks and beach shacks to boats, vehicles, guest areas, and staff accommodation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a practical, self‑motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team for this summer. You’ll help keep the club in top condition, tackling everything from carpentry and general repairs to preventative maintenance and equipment checks.

This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working outdoors, and managing their own time effectively. You’ll support all areas of the club, work closely with the Facilities Manager, and bring a professional, can‑do attitude to every task – whether repairing a sail, repainting decking, or helping set up for one of our weekly events.

With access to our watersports facilities on your days off, this role offers the perfect balance of rewarding work and the chance to enjoy life on a beautiful Mediterranean island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete routine maintenance checks and keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Prioritise and resolve general club and staff accommodation maintenance issues.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance across the club.
  • Assist with building, repair and carpentry tasks across decks, shacks, structures and interiors.
  • Support setup for weekly club events.
  • Work closely with the beach team to ensure watersports equipment is in good working order.
  • Assist with the upkeep of club vehicles and support drivers when needed.
  • Liaise with local suppliers and local staff to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and organised workshop.
  • Communicate effectively with guests when required and represent the club positively.
  • Take on additional duties when needed to support smooth club operations.
About You

You will be someone who is:

  • A skilled, hands‑on problem solver with strong practical abilities.
  • Experienced in carpentry (essential) and ideally confident with basic mechanics.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage your time well.
  • Resourceful and self‑motivated, with a strong work ethic.
  • Calm under pressure and flexible to changing priorities.
  • A safe, competent driver with good awareness.
  • Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests.
  • A collaborative team member who’s always willing to help others.
Essential Requirements
  • Trade background/experience: carpentry, building, or similar.
  • Carpentry skills (required).
  • Good general mechanical knowledge (desirable).
  • EU driving licence.
  • Minimum age 23 (insurance requirement).
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
  • Hospitality experience (desirable).
  • EU passport holder.
Why Join Us

Working as a Maintenance Assistant at The Peligoni Club means being part of a supportive, hard‑working team that takes pride in keeping the club looking its best. You’ll enjoy varied, meaningful work in a stunning island setting – with the added bonus of access to our watersports, yoga and gym facilities during your down time.
