Full-Time School Caretaker

Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Wirral area
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only (with some flexibility during school holidays)
Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a secondary school in the Wirral area to recruit a reliable and proactive School Caretaker. This is a full-time, term-time-only position (with occasional holiday work), ideal for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, good maintenance skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment.

Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities/maintenance role
  • Good knowledge of basic maintenance, health & safety, and security procedures
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to manage a range of tasks from minor repairs to setting up school events
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Basic IT skills for logging maintenance requests or completing compliance checks
