Are you motivated and resourceful, eager to make a meaningful difference? L is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and caring companion to support her in daily activities with focus on promoting her mental and physical wellbeing. L was diagnosed with global developmental delay after birth. Later, following a group B streptococcal sepsis with multiorgan failure, L required above knee amputation of the left leg and below knee amputation of the right leg. L's main means of mobility, both indoors and outdoors, is a manual wheelchair.
L is a cheerful young woman, energetic and music-loving social butterfly, looking for a buddy who is resourceful and responsible, thoughtful and sensitive to diverse needs, and adaptable and reflective.
ILS Case Management is the UK's leading independent nationwide Case Management company. When a person's life has been changed by injury, we address the practicalities. We work with children and adults who have had moderate or catastrophic, complex injuries. We assess individual needs and are able to provide a comprehensive Case Management and Rehabilitation Service designed to maximise independence. We are CQC registered and compliant with their standards.
If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection. However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.
ILS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our Clients within the activities we undertake, and ILS expects all our Clients' employees and workers to share this commitment. The suitability of all prospective employees or workers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment.
This position will require: proof of eligibility to work in the UK; satisfactory references, including your last employer; and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate. A conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
