Overview

Pangbourne College is seeking an experienced and inspiring Careers Advisor to lead the delivery of a high quality careers guidance programme. You will work with pupils from Year 9 through to Year 13, with a particular focus on supporting Year 12 and Year 13 pupils in preparing for life beyond Pangbourne. As a Careers Advisor, you will raise aspirations and help pupils make informed decisions about their future. You will provide one-to-one guidance, lead group workshops and support pupils with applications to universities, apprenticeships and employment. Working with the Head of Sixth Form and Head of Careers you will ensure that every pupil has access to the information, advice and guidance they need to thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about preparing pupils for their next steps and committed to supporting the aspirations of the next generation of Pangbournians.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high quality careers guidance programme for pupils from Year 9 to Year 13, with emphasis on Years 12–13.
  • Provide one-to-one careers guidance and lead group workshops.
  • Support pupils with applications to universities, apprenticeships and employment.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sixth Form and Head of Careers to ensure access to information, advice and guidance for every pupil.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in delivering careers guidance and supporting young people in making future plans.
  • In line with recruitment policy, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and employment reference checks; you must be eligible to work in the UK.
