Job description

We re hiring! An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate Careers Adviser to join a Grade 1 Outstanding Provider, working across two schools in the Wakefield district. This term-time only role (38 weeks) is part-time (3 days/week), supporting students at an secondary school with sixth form and an special school. We re looking for a Level 6 qualified adviser with school-based experience, but we ll also consider experienced Level 4 advisers. Additional hours may be available in the future. The successful candidate should have experience in
  • Diploma in Careers Guidance (Parts 1 &2)
  • Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG)
  • Level 6 Diploma in Advice and Guidance
  • Level 4 Advice and Guidance (may be considered based on other experience)
  • Experience of working with young people in secondary schools/ colleges.
  • Experience of working with various partners who support young people both in the voluntary and statutory settings
  • Experience of delivering Careers Information, Advice and Guidance.
You will receive:
  • 25 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays), with incremental increases, post 3 years service up to 28 days, and the option to purchase additional holiday
  • 2 days of paid volunteering leave each year
