Careers Adviser

Priority Hire - Start ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Careers Adviser to join our team on a one‑day‑per‑week basis. This role is essential in supporting our students' progression and providing high-quality, impartial careers guidance. The position is required until Easter, with a strong possibility of extension through the summer term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver impartial, personalised careers advice through one‑to‑one guidance sessions and engaging group workshops.

  • Accurately record all guidance interactions and agreed actions using Unifrog, ensuring data integrity and up‑to‑date records.

  • Provide targeted support for students exploring post‑16 and post‑18 pathways, including making referrals for those with additional needs (e.g., SEND).

  • Track, monitor and report on student aspirations and progression to inform whole‑school strategic planning.

  • Build strong relationships with families by engaging parents and carers, including attending parents' evenings.

  • Represent the careers team at key school events, such as parents' evenings, results days and enrolment days, offering expert careers support.

Essential Qualification
  • Diploma in Careers Guidance or Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance (required).
