SUMMARY OF THE COMPANY

LHCCGroup offers a number of care facilities, including fully autonomous one or two bedroom apartments with outreach services, shared supported living units open from 9 to 5, and 24-hour supported living programs.

Our services include outreach floating assistance for individuals in our totally independent apartments or third-party providers, less intensively supported living-based accommodation initiatives, and the provision of housing, intensive care, and support in our registered care facilities. We make sure that the shift to independent living is made in reasonable phases for the service user and offers the sponsoring authority the best value as they move into more independent housing.

For those in need of mental health treatment, LHCC offers specialised care, support services, and housing specifically designed for men and women. Our clients frequently have complicated needs, have a history of contact with the criminal justice system, or are in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. The majority of our residents will have served time in a hospital under the Mental Health Act, and some are bound by limitation orders from the Home Office or MOJ.

Objective:

To assist the manager and senior employees with all facets of house management. To assist in the establishment and upkeep of a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment so clients can attain the highest level of autonomy, freedom, and choice.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To adhere to COSHH, environmental health, and health and safety requirements in the house
  • To keep all information about work and care in the home private.
  • To be familiar with the home’s policies and procedures in relation to your work.
  • To help those suffering from mental illnesses like dementia.
  • To help clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, brushing, showering, foot and nail care, hair washing, shaving, mouth and denture care, using the bedpan, urinal, toilet or commode, getting ready for bed, getting out of bed, cleansing, and dressing.
  • Talking to the client, taking them for a walk or vacation, reading to them, writing on their behalf, and helping with their hobbies and leisure activities are all ways to support their mental and physical well-being.
  • To tend to the dying.
  • Help with food service and any other household tasks you are capable of performing.
  • Be ready to answer the door, the phone, the emergency bells, and guests.
  • Participate in staff meetings and, if necessary, internal and external training.
  • To help clients receive clinical treatment and medication as permitted and guided by the registered nurse.
  • Assuming particular household duties as instructed by a manager or senior staff member
  • Observe the National Minimum Care Standards, the GSCC Code of Practice, and any other applicable laws.
  • To assist in the execution of LHCC Ltd.’s Equality & Diversity Policy
  • To assist and encourage service users to maintain a clean and organised living space
  • To guarantee that the space is always neat and clean
  • Those with mental health support requirements who are released under section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (After-care) should receive care.
