Role Details

• You’ll work a fixed rota including an evening and weekend shift (weekend shifts have enhanced pay rates)
• 52 weeks
• Support to complete a Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma & Care Certificate
• Working one-to-one providing daily care and support for our students including supporting their personal care needs, mobility, daily routine, communication and encouraging independence skills, learning and access to leisure activities
• Working with students who present with behaviours of concern; candidates should be comfortable working in this type of environment

Salary: SEN Care Level 1 £13.02 per hour on weekdays / £14.52 per hour weekends; SEN Care Level 2 £13.19 per hour on weekdays / £14.69 per hour weekends. Overtime paid at £1.50 per hour extra. Shifts available: Day, Evenings and Weekends - Fixed shifts, no rolling rota. Hours: Full and Part-time. Weeks: 52 per year. Annual leave: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holidays.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to assist students with their personal care requirements as needed, whilst maintaining their dignity.
• Ability to support students in a way that promotes their independence and development in the education setting.
• NVQ 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to complete in an agreed timeframe.
• Willingness to undertake and achieve Skills for Care Induction Award within 12 weeks if no formal care qualifications.
