Job Title: Care Service Team Leader

Salary: Grade 9 £32,070 - £34,359 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Working Hours: One x 30 hours per week (Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a work rota and work weekends and bank holidays when required)

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

Our friendly team at The Trees Short Breaks, in Hinckley, are looking for a Care Services Team Leader (1 x 30 hours per week). The Trees Short breaks is a purpose-built respite home in Hinckley, providing respite care for adults with learning disability, Autism, Physical disabilities and Sensory impairments. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work as part of our team to provide person centred care.

About the Role Responsibilities

We are looking for people with supervisory or managerial experience who can help us continue delivering high quality care and support to adults with learning differences (disability) in our Short Breaks services. You will:

  • Help maintain high-quality services through effective audit systems and ensure we deliver outcome-focused care and support.
  • Have the skills to identify risks and a good knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide direct care and support to people who use our services and have the ability to motivate and support our team, promoting the right values and celebrating individuality and diversity.
  • Work in accordance with Leicestershire County Council’s Employee Code of Conduct and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.
  • Receive training and have a team to mentor, coach, and support your journey.
  • Have DBS enhanced check (Adults Barred List) and DBS-related requirements met at the point of appointment.
About You

To apply for this post you must meet all of the following:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care and support, and maximising independence.
  • Be responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service; must be able to work flexibly and participate in a staff rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.
  • Have the ability to assist with moving and handling of people using available equipment.
  • Have a suitable level of experience in a supervisory or managerial position in a social care setting.
  • Have the ability to analyse information to reach defensible decisions (demonstrating the use of risk management tools).
  • Demonstrate sound regulatory knowledge on the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
