A local care provider in the United Kingdom is looking for Care Professionals who can build relationships with older clients. In this role, you will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help improve quality of life. There’s no need for prior experience, just a passion for care and supporting others. The position offers competitive pay at £11 per hour and various working patterns, making it a fulfilling opportunity for those who want to make a difference.
Role: Care Professional
Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non‑medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award‑winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our care professionals to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enable us to provide personalised support. Home Instead York is a family‑owned business providing the standard of care and support to older people that you would want for your own family.
We’re looking for people with the personality and passion to build great relationships with our clients. Our clients trust us and rely on you to listen carefully to what they need, take an interest in them, and deliver excellent care. If you enjoy interacting with older individuals and want to pursue an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older people, caregiving might be the career for you.
At Home Instead, the central and most important part of a Care Professional role is offering companionship and conversation. Each of our care professionals is matched to a client based on mutual interests and hobbies to encourage a strong relationship to develop. Many of our care professionals do not have formal experience as carers before joining our team but have looked after a family member and want to make a difference to an older person’s life by using the experience they have gained.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a care professional, however, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and be comfortable spending time in the company of others.
PLEASE NOTE : If you are interested in being considered for more than one of our vacancies, you will only need to submit ONE application. You can state in the ‘Supporting Evidence’ section of your application the other roles you would like to be considered for, but any suitable roles will be discussed with you.
If you feel this is the role for you, please contact Paula today on or email for further information.
Together we can Make Care Matter.
