Care Home Manager | Elderly Care Home – Wigan

Role

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a valued client who own a portfolio of beautiful, purpose-built care homes across the North of England. With a new opening in the business, they are looking for a solid operator to join the team and lead a care home based around the Wigan area. The role joins a carefully designed care home providing nursing, nursing dementia and residential care to older adults. Built within a sprawling landscape, this is an opportunity for an existing manager to join a home they can truly build and grow. With support from the business themselves, the new manager will have a network around them to lean on and in turn will bring a passion to deliver on new ideas.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of a care home delivering nursing, nursing dementia and residential care to older adults.
  • Develop staff and implement improvements to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Drive occupancy and staff retention strategies; manage relationships with the local community and stakeholders.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with CQC standards and contributes to a successful inspection history.
Candidate / Qualifications
  • Background in care home management with a track record of successful CQC inspections.
  • Experience developing staff and strategically marketing a care home.
  • Nurse qualified with an active pin (RGN, RMN, RNLD) – not essential.
  • Care Home Management background with evidence of CQC success.
  • Vibrant and proactive leadership style; commercial awareness of occupancy and budgets; ability to build relationships with residents, families, and local stakeholders.
Interview Process

The interview process will be a 2 stage interview with the senior team.

Location

The role is commutable from: Wigan, Warrington, Bolton, Leigh, Chorley, Leyland, Preston, Southport.
