Job description

Eden House Residential Home: Join Our Team as a Care Assistant or Shift Leader

Are you a patient, caring, and compassionate person who wants to make a real difference in a home-like environment?

About Eden House

Eden House is a small residential home that provides care and support to elderly residents, many of whom are living with dementia. With a maximum of 20 residents, we get to know each person and their families, ensuring we provide the highest standard of care possible. Our team has a supportive and welcoming atmosphere, and we believe our residents and staff are our second family. We take pride in our highly trained and caring staff who are supported to be their best, including having a great shift with a supportive team.

The Role

We are looking for dedicated Care Assistants and Shift Leaders to join our team on days or nights. This is an active role where you will support residents with their daily activities, including personal care, nutrition support, and continence care. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean environment and accurately documenting all care provided.

  • Care Assistant: You will assist residents with their daily activities and help ensure their comfort and well-being. No prior experience is required, and we are prepared to support the right person in gaining their Care Certificate.

  • Shift Leader (Senior): In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift. This includes delegating tasks to your team, liaising with GPs and nurses, administering medication using our eMAR system, and providing on-the-floor leadership - along with supporting your team with personal care and similar. An NVQ 2 is required for this position.

We offer full-time (42-48 hours) or part-time (minimum 24 hours) positions.

About You

You are a capable individual with a flexible and easygoing nature, able to adapt to a busy environment. You have a passion for providing person-centered care and want to further your professional development. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and always puts the residents' best interests first.

All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We are currently unable to offer sponsorship.
