Overview

Job responsibilities

Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contribute to the care team, and ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalating identified risks promptly.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

To be successful, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Experience is not required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in your role. Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and others in the home.
  • Be an efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions from other team members.
  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
