A local care support provider in Barking is seeking a Care Assistant to help clients regain their independence. The role includes assisting with daily living skills such as personal care and meal preparation. Suitable candidates will have access to a car and driver's license. Care Assistant - Barking
Essex Cares, Barking, Greater London
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time or part-time with guaranteed hours
Shifts: 7am - 2.30pm and 4pm - 11pm
Travel: Full driving licence and own vehicle essential; travel around Barking and the surrounding area
Mileage: 45p per mile (tax-free)
Location note: Based in Barking, covering Barking and surrounding areas
In reablement, support customers to regain independence and continue living in their own homes. This may include helping clients relearn skills in daily living, such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation. You will receive training, and a mentor will accompany you until you are confident in the role. After induction training, with guaranteed contracted hours, we support progression within the company, including ongoing specialist training and nationally recognised qualifications.
Access to a car and a full driving licence with business insurance is required. You will receive full induction and training, with mentoring and ongoing support as you settle into the role. We offer a range of shifts to support a good work-life balance, including full-time or part-time arrangements.
