If you're someone with a caring nature, a few spare hours, and a reliable car — you could make a real difference right here in your own community.

At Home Instead Okehampton, we support older adults with thoughtful, one-to-one visits that help them stay safe, independent and comfortable at home. • Companionship and a good chat over a cup of tea
  • Help with personal care — washing, dressing, or medication reminders
  • Preparing a light meal or helping with a bit of shopping
  • Supporting confidence and mobility at home or out in the community
  • Simply being a kind, familiar face that makes someone’s day a little brighter

We don’t do rushed calls or pack your schedule wall-to-wall. You’ll have time to care properly, be matched with regular clients, and feel truly valued for the support you give.

What You’ll Get from Us
  • £16.25 to £16.75 per hour, based on client contact time and 15 minutes of paid travel time between visits
  • Paid mileage at 40p per mile
  • Full paid training – no previous care experience needed
  • Flexible, part-time hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Consistent clients and a local area to work in
  • Friendly support from a team that genuinely cares
  • Opportunities to gain care qualifications if you’d like to progress
You’ll Need:
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A calm, caring nature and a desire to help others
