Main duties of the job

Your primary focus is to provide personalised care and assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity and independence. ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene to support independence, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure ulcers, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalating identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practising safe systems of work across duties.

To be successful, you should live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do. Experience is not required, as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence in the role.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Be an efficient worker able to follow reasonable instructions from the team.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
