Qualifications

  • Experience in complex care for clients with acquired brain injuries.
  • Knowledge of daily suctioning and monitoring conditions for seizures.
  • Prior experience with PEG feeds or similar medical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for a client with an acquired brain injury.
  • Administer PEG feeds and perform daily suctioning.
  • Monitor the client's condition for seizures during shifts.

Shifts Available:2:1 Days & Nights (8 am - 8 pm | 8 pm- 8 am) 2-3 Shifts Per Week

Access to a vehicle is required due to the geographical location of the role.

What you'll do

The client is a young adult who has an acquired brain injury and is non-verbal, and due to this, the client would require several complex needs that need to be met, such as:

  • PEG feeds (PEJ)
  • Daily suctioning.
  • Monitoring the client's condition for seizures.
Qualifications

What you'll need

Experience required prior to being interviewed:

Experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:

  • Intermittent catheter care.
  • Suctioning machines.
  • PEJs
