A leading healthcare organization in Wales is hiring a Cardiology Support Secretary to provide essential administrative support to the medical team. The candidate should possess GCSE qualifications and strong communication skills. Experience in medical administration is a plus, but not required. You will have good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; using your initiative to contribute to the smooth running of this busy area. The post holder must have the ability to manage their workload efficiently and effectively. Previous medical administration experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. Experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable.
The main duties of the role will involve typing/formatting clinic letters and reports from dictated materials, promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Candidates should have advanced keyboard skills and audio typing/word processing qualifications, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Candidates should also have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills and a knowledge of medical terminology. The post holder will also be required to be part of the wider admin team and assist with the general administrative support to the service as required.
