Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in non-invasive cardiology procedures.
  • Experience with implant and follow-up of cardiac devices.
  • Immediate Life Support certification required.

  • Analyze cardiac monitors and support a skilled team.

Job Summary

Specialised Cardiac Physiologist – EP and Devices | Manchester | Full Time Permanent | Band 7/8A depending on experience | Outstanding QCQ rating

Spire Manchester Hospital is a £65m state‑of‑the‑art healthcare facility offering you the opportunity to work across a wide variety of specialisms. The Manchester team currently consists of over 800 colleagues and we are rapidly expanding as we increase the scope of services we provide across our experienced and dynamic teams.

Responsibilities

This post involves a combination of invasive cardiology procedures, including EP and cardiac rhythm management (devices), as well as analysing cardiac monitors. You will be working as part of a small, skilled but friendly and supportive team. This role is ideally for a Physiologist with an interest in cardiac device management and EP procedures and a passion for arrhythmia management on the whole. We are looking for someone to join the Cath Lab team to increase their knowledge and exposure within EP procedures and device management and implantation.

Qualifications
  • BSc Clinical Physiology (or equivalent)
  • Immediate Life Support
  • IBHRE/BHRS Exam (Devices)
  • IBHRE/BHRS Exam (EP) or willingness to work towards this
  • Registration with the RCCP
  • Well versed in basic diagnostic skills expected of a Band 6 grade (> 1 year) including solo experience of non‑invasive cardiology procedures e.g. ECG, holters
  • Solo experience with implant and follow‑up of all devices including remote monitoring
  • Invasive procedures within the Cath Lab
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Advance Devise Experience
  • EP Experience or willing to train
