Key Responsibilities

Typical Services you will be delivering:

  • Hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill therapy) for rehabilitation.
  • Hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill therapy) for fitness.
Clinical Excellence
  • As a Canine Hydrotherapist you will:
  • Provide clinical and professional hydrotherapy services for clients and their pets, ensuring a seamless and memorable journey at every touchpoint.
  • Participate in a unique and engaging pet wellness journey.
  • Provide clients with expert advice and education.
  • Provide hydrotherapy for pets with orthopaedic and/or neurological conditions in addition to proactive healthcare services to optimise the health of our pets.
  • Maintain excellent water management protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure a welcoming, home‑like environment.
  • Oversee pet supervision from kennel care to rehabilitation.
  • Participate in delivering hydrotherapy‑based learning for in‑house colleagues and contribute to internal and external CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events.
  • Fulfil CPD requirements in line with the recommendations of your governing body, tailored to both personal and business development needs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy
  • Member of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA), National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists (NARCH) or Institute of Canine Hydrotherapists (ICH)
  • 2 years' experience in small animal veterinary rehabilitation.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Wellness advisers (RVN), Veterinary Physiotherapists specialising in small animals (ACPAT Cat A and/or RAMP), RCVS/EBVS Veterinary Anaesthesia Specialists.
