Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to work within the CAMHS Crisis Liaison/Single Point of Access Team based in Tonteg Hospital.

The CAMHS Service has multiple bases across the locality, including Tonteg Hospital, Carnegie Clinic in Rhondda, KHHP in Merthyr, and Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.

The post holders will manage their own caseload, providing timely assessment, risk management, and follow-up interventions for children and young people presenting in crisis related to mental health issues such as acute psychosis, eating disorders, or self-harm or harm to others.

Responsibilities include triage, assessment of all referrals, establishing appropriate signposting, and allocating referrals to meet the needs of the young person.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. It is not essential, but speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2 or above) are advantageous for shortlisting and selection. Level 3 indicates basic conversational ability about health topics.
